Video-installation created for the photographic exhibition “Litus Minor” by Antonella Ficotto. Lio Piccolo is a town in the Venetian Lagoon, in the Municipality of Cavallino Treporti. It is sometimes referred to as an island, although it is rather a set of islets separated by narrow channels. Archipelagos rich in primordial life forms such as cyanobacteria, which in these waters find a prolific environment towards the end of summer where they can reach high concentrations, causing characteristic “blooms”.
